2FA (TOTP) set up for NetExtender

Below are the instructions for users to add the google authenticator app and pair it with their NetExtender login.
Detailed instructions can be found in the attached PDF.

1. Download and install Google Authenticator App.

2. Log into the SSL VPN portal. All users have to login to the virtual office portal by typing https://10.0.100.10:4433/  in the browser URL for local login, and https://216.211.241.140:4433 for external use, to bind the Google Authenticator App.

The site will show a wanting saying "your connection is not private" clicked advanced then click "continue to 10.0.100.10 (unsafe)" it just bringing you to the sonicwall page.

3. Once you enter your username & password, you will be prompted with a QR code and an Emergency Scratch code

NOTE: Please save or keep a copy of the Emergency Scratch Code as it is the only way to login if the mobile device is lost or reset.

4. Open the Google Authenticator App on your Mobile phone, then click on Begin

5. Select Scan QR Code to scan QR code

6. Once the QR code is scanned, the App will provide a 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP), then click Add Account. SNWL is added

7. Enter the OTP beside the 2FA Code option on the pop-up window with the QR code

8. Open NetExtender

  • Enter your login credentials. Then, a window will pop up asking to enter an authentication code (password)
  • On your mobile phone, open Google Authenticator, and go to the saved account to get the one-time passcode(OTP)
  • On the Authentication window, enter the provided code in the Password field, and click OK to establish the VPN connection
