Add or change a signature
You can put up to 10,000 characters in your signature.
  1. Open Gmail.
  2. In the top right, click Settings Settings and then See all settings.
  3. In the "Signature" section, add your signature text in the box. If you want, you can format your message by adding an image or changing the text style.
  4. At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
Manage multiple signatures
You can use different signatures for your emails. For example, you can set a signature default for new emails you compose or reply to. You can also choose a different signature with each email you send.
Tip: If you want to change your signature while you write an email, at the bottom of the window, click Insert signature penpen.

By default Google adds two dashes (--) before your signature.  You can disable this by taking the following steps.
  1. Go to Gmail settings
  2. Scroll down to a section Signature
  3. Right under your signature, tick the checkbox followed by text:
